Vascular CTA

Vascular CTA includes imaging the major arteries coming off the aorta supplying oxygenated blood to the head, neck, major organs in the abdomen, the arms and legs. CTA is an extremely fast, accurate and noninvasive method for evaluating patients with significant carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease (PAD), aortic aneurysms, and aiding in planning for possible stent grafting artery stenosis. CTA patients at risk for stroke are prime candidates for a CT scan of their carotid arteries.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) affects more than 10 million Americans every year and is seriously under-diagnosed and often mistaken for arthritis. Untreated, PAD can lead to loss of a toe, foot, or even a leg. Our 256-slice CT scanner can detect the smallest blockages in the arteries of the hands, arms, feet and legs. Early detection and treatment are often very successful in controlling PAD.
